FAQs
I love a piece in your store but it's not my size/ on the right type of metal/ it's already sold/ there's some other problem. Can you help me?
Please contact us! We can see what else we have in stock and perhaps create a custom order for you.
Can I make changes to my order after it's been placed?
If we haven't yet shipped your order just get in touch with us and we'll help you make whatever changes you need.
Can you help me match a single earring/ earrings to a necklace/ replace a ring pearl?
We can try to help you find a match via photos but the best way is to have you send us your pearls so that we can have them in front of us. Contact us and we'll see what we can do.
Will you sell me a drilled or un-drilled loose pearl?
Yes. While we aren't selling loose pearls wholesale right now, we will consider selling a pearl or two to retail clients. Note however that we can't promise to be able to find special colors or sizes.
Do you sell wholesale loose pearls?
Right now we are not selling wholesale loose pearls however we hope to in the near future. Please contact us to be put on our list of potential clients. We will get in touch with you when we have wholesale pearls available again.
Do you wholesale your jewelry?
Yes we work with both online and brick and mortar retail shops. Please contact us and let us know what you're interested in.
Do you sell bulk oysters with pearls inside?
No. Preserving dead oysters requires the use of toxic chemicals not in line with Kamoka's environmental beliefs. Also, in most cases we do not kill oysters in order to extract pearls -- instead we insert another nucleus to create another pearl. Lastly, exporting whole oysters from French Polynesia would be very tricky and expensive, if not entirely impossible.
Can I come work for you?
While Kamoka isn't hiring right now, we do accept visitors to our farm.
Great! How can I visit?
Kamoka is located on very remote and rustic Ahe Atoll and requires a 1 1/2 hour plane ride from/to Tahiti. It's not possible to visit for the day so you'd have to stay over at one of the two family pensions on Ahe for a few nights.
