This sublime, 9.4mm Tahitian round, pearl is set on an elegant, 14k yellow gold rabbit ear setting, highlighted with lab-grown diamonds.
The pearl is beautifully lustrous and has stunning, peacock green coloration, with deep aqua greens, golds and pinks to its center, all surrounded by an indigo halo. There are very minor imperfections that are drowned out by the coloration and luster.
The eight VS F+ grade lab-grown diamonds are 00.18 carats and measure .80mm.
Lab grown gemstones are chemically identical to naturally formed stones but are not mined and are gentler on the planet.
The pearl and setting dangle from a .9mm adjustable 16-18" 14k white gold chain.
The word hoa has at least two meanings in Tahitian. The first is the name for a waterway that that links the inside of the lagoon (behind a coral reef) with the open ocean; the second is the word for friend. The simple elegance of this necklace reminds of this poetry of love and connection.
