This lustrous, slightly semi-baroque, Tahitian pearl measures about 9.3mm. It glows in dark peacock coloring, with heavy plums and aubergines to its center, and blends out into golds, forest greens and deep indigos. There are minor imperfections that are drowned out by its coloration and luster.
The pearl mounted on a Sterling silver fish tail bale that dangles on a sparkling 1mm adjustable 16-18" Sterling silver chain.
We named this necklace I'a, which means fish in Tahitian, because of the fish tail shape of the bail. Fish are one of the biggest food sources in the islands and their presence means health of the natural world, abundance and a life in balance.
