This lustrous, semi-baroque, Tahitian pearl measures about 9mm. It glows in a bright blue tone, with greens to its center, and subtle flashes of pinks and golds at its base. There are minor imperfections that are drowned out by its coloration and luster.
The pearl mounted on a Sterling silver fish tail bale that dangles on a sparkling 1mm adjustable 18-20" Sterling silver chain.
We named this necklace I'a, which means fish in Tahitian, because of the fish tail shape of the bail. Fish are one of the biggest food sources in the islands and their presence means health of the natural world, abundance and a life in balance.
