Last on, first off. Put your pearl on after perfume, lotion and hairspray.
Wipe after wearing. A soft, slightly damp cloth keeps the luster bright.
Store it apart. Keep it in its pouch so harder stones can't scratch the nacre.
Skip the pool. Chlorine and hot tubs dull pearls over time.
