These approximately 7mm Tahitian keshi pearls are a baroque cloud shape. They are beautifully lustrous and glow a silvery color with various subtle overtones.
The posts and backs are 14/20 gold filled and we use the same style large earring backs with these as we do with our other stud earrings to keep them on your ears, where they should be.
Keshi pearls are solid pearl with no nucleus and are also sometimes called "seed pearls". You can learn more about them on our Choosing a Tahitian Pearl page.
Gold filled has a 14K gold layer 5 to 10 times thicker than gold plated and is a good, affordable alternative to 14K gold. A solid layer of 14K gold is mechanically bonded with the base metal interior and makes up 1/20th the metal weight. It should not tarnish and is expected to last a lifetime.
